Bellbrook Fishing Report week ending 1st November 2013
Yes Autumn has definitely arrived at Bellbrook. The woods are giving a beautiful display of colour to our anglers.
A big thank you to al those who attended the first of the Winter Warmers on Sunday:)
There were 24 anglers who braved the conditions - actually by lunchtime it wasn't too bad.
The day started with a hearty breakfast and by the time the siren went at 9:30 no one cared about the weather! In spite of the wind the lakes fished really well - I was abit worried! 4 anglers caught their limit of 6 fish and a further 5 anglers managed to miss only 1 fish so they had 5 each. In total approx 104 fish were caught!! For a small water I think the lakes stood up to the pressure very well.
The victor for the day was John Parnell from Bath with a bag weighing 14 - 6 and his best fly was a Green anad Black Montana!!
2nd place was Derek Burton of Radstock with 12 - 12 using the same Cats Whisker all day.
Finally in 3rd place was Paul Woodmore of Totnes with 12 - 4 using lots of different flies:)
There are still places available for the 2nd Winter Warmer taking place on the 1st of March:)
