The inaugural "Roger Taylor Memorial Fish Off"

Great event this last weekend with 16 anglers travelling down from the Bath area to honour the memory of a fellow sportsman Roger Taylor. Organised by regular Derek Burton of Radstock, the "Roger Taylor Memorial Fish Off" is expected to be an annual event and the winner is awarded a very spendid cup as per the pictures. Roger's brother Bob Taylor kindly agreed to come along and award the Cup to the winner.

The day was won by Jamie Purnell of Peasedown St John. Jamie managed 5 out of his 6 fish bag for weight of 17-0. Varius succesful patterns were used but Jamie's tactics were Cats Whisker on a sinking tip. 2nd place went to Adam Jones of Bath with 4 fish for 13-4 and third place was tied with Dereck Burton and son Matt Burton both catching 4 fsh for 12-8.
