Winter Warmer 2019

There was a great turn out for this years Winter Warmer at Bellbrook with 22 anglers braving the elements to fish. It was a day when everything was thrown at us with consistent blustery high wind, horizontal rain, hail and the occasional appearance of the sun! But undetered Paul Woodmore of Torbay managed to catch his 6 fish bag - the full quota. This was some acheivement as fishing had to be paused at times due to exceptionally high gusts and when you also learn that this is the third time Paul has won the event you start to see he obviously has some talent! There were also 4 other anglers on 5 fish with 2nd place going to Chad Merrett of Bath and joint 3rd place going to Dennis Workman of Wotton under Edge and Chris Short of Ilminster.

The best fish of the day went to Chad Merritt with a lumpy 9lb Rainbow out of the Specimen lake. We also ran a tagged fish competion with cash prizes but sorry to say that none of the tagged fish came out.

Our thanks go to all who supported the event. I'm afraid there weren't any photos as the weather was so aweful.
