The weather has finally broken and while it isn’t warm the sharp cold snap seems to have released us from its grip. The fishing conditions have been variable with some coloured water after heavy rain but mostly fairly clear.
Fishing Report week ending 15th November 2017
The weather has been a mixed bag with alot of rain causing some coloured water this week. However we have been busy with some good catches - just bring the right clothes!
Fred Leach of Bampton was out fished by his two grandsons who caught two Rainbows each for an average of 2-8oz while Fred only managed one albeit a 3lb beauty. They all used different tactics with the yougsters usiung pheasant tail nymph and Granddad using bloodworm.
Jeff Langdon of Roadwater caught his limit of 4 specimens using damsel fished deep. His best fish were a 4lb Brownie and a 5-8 Rainbow - the total bag was just short of 20lb!
His buddie Mark Tysow of Minehead also caught his 4 fish limit including a sleek 4-8 blue on a Cats Whisker – total bag was just over 20lbs!
Jim Barnes of Kingsbridge caught his Rover Classic limit of two specs and 2 normals with a total bag of 14lb exactly.
