The weather has finally broken and while it isn’t warm the sharp cold snap seems to have released us from its grip. The fishing conditions have been variable with some coloured water after heavy rain but mostly fairly clear.
Fishing Report Week ending 12th January 2020
After a blowiy week the weekend turned out not too bad and there was some good fishing to be had.
Father and son team John and Kyle Carpenter from Exeter had a full bag each with the bragging rights going to John with a bag of 9-12 for 3 fish. However Kyle had the best fish landing a fin perfect 6lber from the specimen lake:)
Regular Alfie Roberts from Bampton stuck to the normal lakes and managed 4 fish for 9-3. Best fly was a small cats whisker fished about 2 foot on a floating line.
The forecast for the week here is for some intermittent showers but otherwise good bright cold days - don't miss it:)
