Nick Lake had a successful day on Tuesday with 5 fish from the normals for 13-12! Using a green and yellow blob he also had 2 wild brownies! He says it was worth the cold lol....
Better conditions on the weekend finally. Had some good sport with a range of flies producing.
Ian Nadin of Collumpton caiught his 5 fish limit on the normals with a total bag of 11 - 8 mostly caught on the drop using a Hairs Ear.

Ian Nadin from Cullompton had a total bag of 4 fish for 20lb 8oz which included a 9lb 2oz and 6-10 from Ironmill - see piccies below.
(Photos at the bottom) The weather was kind to the competitors again with a nice calm day and not too much sun. Plenty of fish were caught and most of these were in the top 2 feet of water with slow sinking wet flies.
The Mayfly are well and truly here – but the hatches seem quite brief and unpredictable. The weather has been quite changeable and there has been some tricky wind but get your timing right and there are some classic conditions to be enjoyedJ
(Photos at the bottom of the report) Again there was a good turnout and this time the weather was slightly more challenging with a bright sunny day and some occasional breezy spells.
It’s been a glorious start to April and the Easter break has found the fishery busy with many anglers out for the season’s first fish.

We have enjoyed some lovely spring days for the past few weeks and some of the afternoons are positively balmy!
We have had to temporarily close the fishery until further notice as the weed is still causing problems.
We will update this page once the situation improves.
