The weather has finally broken and while it isn’t warm the sharp cold snap seems to have released us from its grip. The fishing conditions have been variable with some coloured water after heavy rain but mostly fairly clear.

Bellbrook Fishing Report week ending 27th September 2013
Is Autumn finally here? Not according to the fish . . . with the warm (if not dry) weather still with us they're still playing hard to get.
The specimens are continuing to lie deep but every now and then you'll see one surface to take the odd fly.
The normals are fishing ok with Ben Carlisle from Somerset netting a couple of 2lbers from Exmoor. The smaller flies seem to be the ones tempting the trout. Although Jon Saunders from Samford Peverell also caught two normals both feasting on his Daddy Longlegs off the top!
Bob Lunk from Okehampton, on a well deserved day off, also found the normals taking a nibble on Ottmoor lake. It was a pleasure watching Bob land a lively rainbow.
Bill Smith from Bristol had an enjoyable day and went home with two nice size normals caught on his Standard 4 ticket.
No doubt, as the cooler weather comes in, fishing will return back to normal . . . just don't forget your wet weather gear!
